Chug-a-lug-a-Choo-Choo

We had a fun time last Saturday. Union Pacific set up a time for employees and their families to take a short ride on a passenger train. Zach has always been in love with trains so we couldn't pass up an opportunity like this. We arrived early Saturday morning eagerly awaiting the trains arrival. There was a tree just covered in lady bugs by our waiting area so that kept the kids entertained.

When your so excited and have to wait what better thing to do than tease your sister.

The engine finally arrives!

What a fun ride that was!

Evan Almighty

One more post before I head out the door. I wouldn't post except for the fact that I am seeing all over the Internet that this movie is not good. I beg to differ. Brandon and I went to a sneak preview of it last weekend and we haven't seen a movie that funny in a long time. We laughed clear through and the audience applauded at the end. There is a great message that goes along with the story. I think that it is a must see. I can't wait for my kids to see it. Ignore the bad publicity. It gets 5 stars from me!

Best Little City Out West

We are heading out to Indianola, NE this week with a quick stop in North Platte. Indianola is indeed the best little city out west. I grew up there. With a whopping population of around 650 people(after my crew arrives) it is sure to be a good time. Fireflys, fireworks, swimming pools, family, and good food are just waiting for us to arrive. I can't wait. I will blog to you all about the excitement when I get back.

America's Favorite Past Time

The summer us upon us and what a great day for Zach's first t-ball practice. You will have never a seen a kid more excited than Zach. He couldn't wait to get out there and play. He was a little upset that it was just practice and not a game. He hustled everywhere on the field and acted so big. He has to since he is one of the youngest on the team. I was so proud of my big guy.

He can't wait to get started!

Running the bases at lightning speed!

Locks of Love

Brooklyn decided to be brave and do a great thing this summer. She decided to donate her hair to Locks of Love. I took the girls to Lollilocks. It is a wonderful little kids salon. It was a fun place to have it done. They take a minimum of 10 inches so this is quite a commitment since her hair wasn't very long. She is a girl with a heart of gold and loves to help others. I am very proud of her.
What a Cutie!
Sidney also got her hair cut. She was not quite brave enough to cut off that much hair(it is hard to be a princess with short hair). She looks beautiful none-the-less.

Tuesday Tidbits

Why? You ask. I have ran out of stuff to blog about. It happens from time to time. But I bet you didn't know that......

Most elephants weigh less than the tongue of the blue whale.
And if you did know that you have a plethora of useless knowledge. Just to let you know.

It is crazy to think that 1 year ago this last weekend we moved out to Colorado. The time has gone by so quickly. I don't know if I have had a year where I have learned as much as I have with this one. Moving out here opened up my eyes to many things that I wouldn't have seen or heard living in the comfortable shelter of Nebraska. What a ride it has been. Weeeee!! Thank you God for pushing me this direction.

Only 4 days of school left
What do you think of the new summer colors for the blog? I think they are very festive.
