Hot Fun in the Summer Time

The kids have been working all summer doing chores and they are receiving an allowance. There allowance is equal to half of their age. The money is beginning to burn a hole in their pockets and they came up with the idea of all going in together to purchase a slip-n-slide. They didn't realize that it would only cost them a little under $3.00 a piece to purchase it. They thought that it would be alot more expensive and they could have paid alot more for a fancy one if they wanted to. They are all getting their $3 worth but they are also learning a lesson because they are realizing that you get what you pay for. It definitely isn't the best put together contraption. They are having fun even if you have to stop and fix it after each person has a turn.

Looks like fun!!

Tell me about how you guys do allowance. What chores are you having them do? Do you keep a chart? I'd really like to get something set up, but never can decide what they should get paid for!

Every parent can learn a thing or two from the two of you. I know I have.

BTW: Brook wins the Best-Strike-A-Pose-While-On-A-Slip-N-Slide Award.
